Through our music curriculum at Eastfield Infant and Nursery School we aim to develop the children’s’ self-belief that they are musical and to develop a life-long love of music. The children will develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to become confident performers, composers and listeners. The children will participate in a variety of musical experiences that will develop their singing, playing tuned and un-tuned instruments, improvising and composing music and listening and responding to music. The children will experience, and are taught to respect music from a range of genres. They will gain an understanding that music is a form of communication that can change and affect the way they feel, think and act.
