Design and Technology is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. During their time at our school, children will have the opportunity to learn to think and intervene creatively to solve problems both as individuals and as members of a team. We will encourage children to use their creativity and imagination, to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs, wants and values. The children will have opportunities to reflect upon, and evaluate their own and other’s design technology and consider ways that it can be developed and improved. We believe that these opportunities will ensure that our children are confident, life-long learners who will enjoy expressing themselves and who will understand and explore the world around them.
