Art should be a stimulating and enjoyable experience for all children, allowing them to create, explore, develop and express themselves. Throughout their time in our school, children will have the opportunity to develop a variety of skills and techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques. They will explore their ideas and record their experiences in a variety of forms. Children will be able to evaluate and analyse creative works, as well as developing an understanding of their own and others’ cultural heritages through the study of a diverse range of artists.

Children will have regular opportunities for self-expression. We believe that these opportunities will ensure that our children are confident, life-long learners who will enjoy expressing themselves and be proud of their individuality.
